YES! You have read right…

We have been very vocal in our support for Adam Radwan in his quest for an England place.

Reality is that he has now been picked by Eddie Jones for Englands summer campaign. Although the final squad is to be named this is massive!!

Adam has flourished in his time at the Falcons and has set alight the premiership this season with his try scoring prowess.

Adam came to Billingham from Middlesbrough to join up with the exciting Billingham Colts side under the leadership team of Sean Scott and Jeff Moriarty. It was in his time at Hartlepool College where he linked up with our very own Chris Hyndman. Heartbreak happened where he wasn’t considered by the Falcons but undeterred he pushed on. Adam went on to play for Billinghams 1st XV playing 18 times scoring 85 points. It was then after lightening up the 7s circuit he was called back in to the Falcons camp. He was quickly signed on and the rest speaks for itself….

Adam is a fantastic individual and a role model for Billinghams minis and juniors to follow. His drive and passion is second to none. He regularly visits Billingham recently unveiling our new away shirt.

We are extremely proud of Adams achievement and we cant wait to see him in the white shirt..

I caught up with Chris Hyndman ‘Proud would be a understated statement!

Adam is proof that hard work and dedication really does pay off, blessed with natural pace it would be easy just to rely on that, but the development in his game over the last year has been fantastic, and the best part about it is there is still plenty more to come.

I am sure Adam will use his time in camp to aid his development and take everything he can from the experience.

I can only imagine how proud his parents are and we at Billingham rugby club are so excited for them all, it should be a fantastic summer.’
