The Rugby 365 project is England Rugby’s single biggest investment into community rugby. Its aim is to be truly transformational for the game both on and off the pitch. As part of the programme, ICON and England Rugby have developed an apprenticeship programme specifically for Billingham Rugby Club, as the host club.

Vacancy description

The purpose of the Apprenticeship is two-fold, firstly to provide the club with resource to support the Rugby 365 programme on their site, whilst also developing individuals who can help support the club’s day to day operation.

The Rugby 365 Apprenticeship will train the apprentice to be multi-skilled and able to support the club’s day to day operations in areas including;

Artificial grass pitch upkeep maintenance
Booking management – utilising the England Rugby systems
Engagement activities on behalf of the club with Community Groups and Charities, Schools and Colleges to promote the opportunities for activity – Support provided by England Rugby but to include coaching, player development and recruitment.
With mentoring support – to be part of a small team of rugby coach.
Other activities that the club may require the apprentice to be involved in - club commercial activity to customer facing event support (functions/ room bookings).
Although the successful applicant will need to be physically fit, this apprentice role will also require good organisation skills and with a passion for Sport and Administration.
