This evening we caught up with Ed Graham. A true green and white. His game has improved so much in the last 3 seasons. He is always life and soul of any social too!
How old were you when you started playing rugby? 8
What was your first rugby memory? Moulding a cheap gum shield to my mouth using boiling water.
Who was your role model and why?
On a personal note I have to say my Dad. He’s a real grafter and do enough for his kids. On a rugby note… it has to be AJ. Lovely guy and great rugby player.
Can you remember your first training session with Billingham?
Yes I came down in a full 2004 boro Carling cup winning strip.
What do you eat before a big match?
Home made breakfast wraps.
Describe your perfect weekend.
It would include a big win with the boys and 1-12 pints of Guinness.
What’s been your career highlight?
Being part of the team that fought hard to keep us in Nat 2. Most definitely the Rotherham match at home, unreal scenes.
What one tip would you give a young person looking to succeed?
Keep at it, I’ve played games for every team at the club but mostly 2s. Enjoy playing with your mates and keep developing as a player.
What’s the next goal in your rugby career? 100 caps would be nice!
