Our 14s travelled to Darlington this weekend for our 1st 15s game, which always
proves to be an entertaining and close match. Our under 14s flew out the blocks
scoring 2 quick tries from McKenna and Neve. Darlington then kicked into gear and
applied some really good pressure; our defence was great holding Darlington out for
a good spell of the game on our try line. We eventually got tired and conceded,
which seemed to spur the girls on. McKenna, Pheobe and Pearl all adding tries
before Mckenna scoring her 3 rd making it a 1 st half hat trick. We went from strength to
strength dominating the attack, winning our rucks and some excellent teamwork
helped us eventually run out 7-56 winners. Summer scoring a 12 min hat trick and
Alaina scoring fishing the game off . Amy Ryan kicking 3 very good conversions.
McKenna was awarded POTM from Darlington and we chose Sophie as forward of
the match and Pearl as backs of the match but everyone deserved player of the
match, as a team it was our most complete game we’ve played
