Now its been some time since we have completed a Game Preview... not through lack of content but lack of time.
However this game warrants some time to be put aside and for the focus to be put back on the rugby.
We have had a nice, well needed and refreshing rest from the 'rugby stuff'. The players... again another well needed break to allow those with niggles to recover and for the aching bodies to recharge.
Saturday we welcome for the first time to Greenwood Road, Scunthorpe.
Who are Scunthorpe Rugby Club?
Scunthorpe Rugby Club was formed in 1929 and played its first fixtures in a field owned by a local farmer, on the condition that the goal posts were moved after each game so that the animals could return to graze. From these humble beginnings the club progressed to a stage whereby it was able to move to its own ground, Heslam Park, in 1952.
Scunthorpe are currently in 11th position in the league however dont let that fool you!
Scunthorpe have continually showcased they can score points. 233 points for which would have seen them in 9th position but for the points against 363.
Seeing the points and hearing about their performances it is clear they pose a big threat, given they will be on a free running surface at Greenwood Road.
Billingham will be keen to start quickly. The last outing against Sandal was, lets be honest slow. Not something we are used. Sandal were opponents and made Billingham work hard for their victory.
Unfortunately Nathan Myers time at home has gone and is back offshore working but Luke Wilson and Joe Ross are fit and available to play.
Billingham will need to come together once again.
Dont forget the Senior Section will be showcasing their finest lip fur alongside some questionable attirre in aide of Movember. So please dig deep, help us raise awareness and help us raise funds for a great cause.
We go again!
