Billingham head on their travels this weekend when they cross the A66 to face Kirkby Lonsdale.
Kirkby are currently sitting second bottom of the league with 3 wins to their name. Now its always easy to get ahead of ourselves. We turn the clock....
2018/19.. Billingham had a steady season with some impressive wins and performances however for what ever reason our performance was poor and we came away 17-5 losers.
It was definitely a lesson learnt.
Kirkby Lonsdale sits in Cumbria and is renound for it picturesque setting. Having gained promotion in 2017, Kirkby have been a mainstay in the North Premier but following Covid have seemed to struggle this season, their last win coming at home against Sandal 32-14.
Following last weeks disappointing loss against Lymm, Billingham make a number of changes. Dan Burns moves into the second row following the season ending injury to Ben Walton, John Padley returns following illness, Luke Armstrong deputises for the unavailable Peter Evans and Leon Turnbull replaces Matt Kirby who is working. Ed Graham and Nic Winstanley come onto the bench.
Captained this week by Elliott Husband who leads an exciting, quick and powerful squad who will be eager to right the wrongs from last week.
Including tomorrow there is only 3 games left. A win tomorrow will help cement the fourth place however Lymm and Alnwick are breathing down Billinghams neck....
